Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Vane mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using Vane, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

Description of Service

Vane is a weather application that aggregates forecast data from multiple weather service providers to deliver more accurate and reliable weather information. The Service includes:

• Current weather conditions for your location
• Hourly and daily weather forecasts
• Aggregated data from multiple weather APIs
• Source comparison and transparency features
• Subscription-based Pro features (unlimited locations, additional data sources)

User Accounts and Subscriptions

Free Tier

The free version of Vane provides access to weather data from 2 sources for your current location only.

Pro Subscription

Pro subscriptions unlock:

• Access to 5 premium weather data sources
• Unlimited saved locations
• Priority data refresh

Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription. Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's Terms of Service. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple through the App Store. If you request a refund, Apple may share your app usage data (such as whether you've used the app and for how long) with us to help resolve the request. This is standard App Store practice.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without our written permission
• Redistribute or resell weather data obtained through the Service

Weather Data Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Weather forecasts are inherently uncertain. While Vane aggregates data from multiple sources to improve accuracy, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of weather information.

You acknowledge that:

• Weather forecasts are predictions and may be incorrect
• You should not rely solely on Vane for critical safety decisions
• In severe weather situations, consult official meteorological services
• Vane is not liable for any damages resulting from inaccurate forecasts

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Vane and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Weather data is provided by third-party services and remains the property of those providers. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute this data outside of the Service without permission from the respective data providers.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VANE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Inaccurate weather forecasts or data
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any third-party content or conduct on the Service
• Any interruption or cessation of the Service

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Vane and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other means. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Vane operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vane regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
